A taste that's out of Cornwall... The Fairing.

A cornish favourite for over 100 years.

The name ‘Fairing’ comes form a present brought at the fairs which were held every year at Whitsuntide and Corpus Christie - a little gift consisting of gingerbread, sugared almonds, cinnamon sticks or macaroons. 

The Story of Furniss.

In the Cornish city of Truro during the 1880's, a master baker named John Cooper Furniss was making his celebrated Fairings, delicious gingerbread and other high class confectionary.

Today, the company he founded closely follows some of the origiinal recipes, producing traditional biscuits with the same love and care as Mr Furniss did himself. 

Ingredients: Wheat flour, Sugar, Vegetable Fats (Palm), Glace Cherries 7% (Cherries, Glucose, Fructose, Syrup, Sucrose, Acidity Regulator E330, Preservatives (E202, E220), Colour E127, ), Vegetable Margarine (Vegetable Fats and Oils, Water, Lemon Juice), Chocolate Chips 5%, Cocoa Mass, Sugar, Cocoa Butter, Fat Reduced Cocoa Powder, Emulsifier: Soya Lecithin, Cornish Butter, Golden Syrup, WHey Powder, Raising Agents: Ammonium Carbonate, Bicarbonate of Soda, Phosphoric Acid, SAlt, Lemon Flavouring.
