A cornish favourite for over 100 years.

The name ‘Fairing’ comes form a present brought at the fairs which were held every year at Whitsuntide and Corpus Christie - a little gift consisting of gingerbread, sugared almonds, cinnamon sticks or macaroons. 

The Story of Furniss.

In the Cornish city of Truro during the 1880's, a master baker named John Cooper Furniss was making his celebrated Fairings, delicious gingerbread and other high class confectionary.

Today, the company he founded closely follows some of the origiinal recipes, producing traditional biscuits with the same love and care as Mr Furniss did himself. 

Ingredients: Wheat Flour, Butter 23%, Sugar, Plain Choclate Pieces 9% (Cocoa Mass, Sugar, Cocoa Butter, Emulsifier: Soya Lecithin, Natural Vanilla),Clotted Cream 6.5%, Salt.
